Professional History
Steve started his career with a fraternal, Modern Woodmen of America, as an accountant. He then became a financial officer of United Insurance Company of America. He was subsequently Chief Financial Officer of several life insurance companies, including a MetLife company (Texas Life) and Security Benefit Life. Steve also worked in MetLife’s home office in New York City. He was CFO of a life insurance agency, formed and ran a new life insurance company, and served as President of Protected Home Mutual Life. After their merger into National Guardian Life, he was Director of the Individual Life Operations. Steve has also been a life insurance agent in Texas.
Steve is a Certified Public Accountant, a Chartered Financial Analyst and Fellow of the Life Management Institute. He has a degree from Augustana College in Math and Accounting and an MBA from the University of Iowa. Steve and his wife, Debbie, reside in Valencia, CA.
