  2nd Annual Sales Jamboree

 

Foresters Financial Partners 2nd Annual Sales Jamboree exceeded all expectations. “It’s all about you! Taking your practice from Success to Significance,” was the theme and the convention was purely focused on the producer gaining different perspectives on how to grow their business.

                                                                                                                                                                    

Ed Ledford, Vice President of Business Development, opened the convention with a riveting presentation on Six Fatal Mistakes To Avoid in 2009. With the ball rolling with such enthusiasm the Keynote Speakers proceeded to keep the audiences’ focus sharp with their speeches.

 

The Keynote Speakers were Ed Morrow, CEO of the IARFC, and Bill Harris, known as “Mr. Annuity.” Bill Harris fueled thought and discussion with his 24 proven sales strategies to close annuity sales as well as his six best prospecting ideas.  Mr. Morrow introduced a new workshop program focused on providing economic briefings to clients and their guests as a means to build your business.

 

Ira Gottshall, President & CEO of Foresters Financial Partners proudly presented awards to the Top Producers of 2008. The awards went to Ramon Estefani, Alma Irving, Joel Johnston, Mitch Langton, James Lin, Randall     McKinney, Marvin Meynard, and Robert Smith. Ira also acknowledged Sherry Worthen, who was not able to attend this year’s event, for her 2008 sales successes.

 

Rod McGarry, Master of Ceremonies, kept an upbeat pace throughout the entire two and a half day convention, as well as hosted two producer panels, which were interesting and full of useful information and very well received by their colleagues in the audience.

 

“I really enjoyed the producer panels the most. Hearing the different approaches directly from the top producers, it was very helpful having them share their ideas and words of encouragement.” Sedrick C., Tallahassee, FL.

 

Producers were also able to intermingle with one another as well as the exhibitors during each reception. The company representatives and fellow agents were able to share strategies and new ideas. Partner companies included: Foresters, Foresters Equity Service, Inc., Life of the South West, American National Insurance, TransAmerica Family Markets, West Coast Life, Clearwater Financial Marketing, AllPro Printing Direct Mail, Disability Insurance Services, Mutual of Omaha, National Life Group, TJ Telemarketing, PortaMedic, Peachtree, Great America, and IARFC.

 

During breakout sessions there were eight different workshops topics for producers to choose from that focused on sales strategies pertaining to retirement, disability income, pensions for small businesses, and increasing business in this turbulent market. “I had so many helpful workshops to choose from and obtained a great deal of valuable knowledge from the ones I attended,” Nelson R., North Hills, CA.

 

The Jamboree concluded with Ira Gottshall, Ed Ledford, and Charles Durfee, of Foresters Financial Partners on a Leadership Panel answering questions and expressing their enthusiasm for the year to come. Ira Gottshall closed with, “If the interaction we’ve seen here in the past couple of days with the field associates and partner companies is any foresight for the year to come, then we are looking forward to a great year of success!”
