Professional History
Jonathan entered the insurance industry as a registered representative of First Investors in Boston, MA in 1986. He has worked in the financial services industry for 21 years in both field and home office positions. After working for First Investors he joined New England Financial as a Trainer in 1988 where he was responsible for training agents and sales managers.
Pratt then joined John Hancock as Associate General Agent in their Andover, MA agency. In this position he was responsible for the management of sales managers, recruiting, training, and marketing.
He joined Metlife in a leadership role as Vice President of Independent Distribution. In this position he built a team of marketing, sales, and operational experts to support direct brokerage. Through his leadership they grew sales from under $20M to over $40M in just over three years.
Pratt then rejoined New England Financial as Vice President of Training. In this role, Pratt worked with senior management to deliver learning and development programs for all field management. A primary objective was to develop 1st and 2nd line management.
Pratt was promoted to the Regional Vice President, VP Brokerage and VP of Recruiting. He was responsible for the management and supervision of firms, managers, and agents focused on driving profitable growth in sales and sales power. He was also responsible for national recruiting and brokerage operations for New England Financial.
Pratt then joined Foresters as Vice President of North American Field Force Development. Pratt has been a keynote speaker at industry events, and has been a workshop speaker at both American College and GAMA meetings.
